Support for Mid-Career Apprentices SMCA Support Service

The SMCA Support Service is provided for the use of Australian Apprenticeships Centres only.

From 1 January 2010 the Support for Mid-Career Apprentices payment will be extended from those aged 30 and over to those aged 25 and over. This new payment will be called Support for Adult Australian Apprentices. The Australian Apprenticeships Incentives Program Guidelines, effective from 1 January 2010, apply to all Applications date stamped from 1 January 2010 onwards.  In these cases advice from the SMCA Support Service through this website is not required. Applications date stamped prior to 1 January 2010 should be referred to the SMCA Support Service by phone for advice on the direction of the incentive.  Any outstanding 2009 enquiries made through the SMCA Support Service website will continue to be resolved by the Service. Australian Apprenticeships Centre staff can contact the SMCA Support Service on 1800 858 667 to follow up on existing enquiries or to raise another enquiry based on an Application date stamped in 2009.
